I Have Had About Enough of Me
Today is the day. I am not waiting until the beginning of the year and setting a New Year's resolution. I am just doing it right here, right now. It all started on Boxing Day. My wife came back with a pair of jeans and two sweaters. After wearing the same size clothes for about 15 years, my wife still has no idea what size jeans I wear. So she bought jeans that were 40 inches around the waist and 32 inches long. Then I looked at the XXL sweaters (which look fantastic) and she could tell from the expression on my face that something wasn't quite right. I looked at her, smiled, told her I love them, and gave her a thank you hug. Secretly in the back of my brain I was thinking "is she saying I am heavier? That is an extra X on those sweaters. 40 inch waist? I know she can't keep track of my jean size (I am a 30 inch inseam), but 40 inches?" I know she didn't mean to do that.
