Hairscut

For years the Queen has been telling me that I look younger with my hairs cut short. I am one of those people who only gets my hairs cut when it impedes my life. This is much like going to the doctor or dentist, neither of which I would willingly want to go to. For me though it is not the pain of hearing every single hair scream in horror as the clippers get closer to my scalp, it is the fact that I am spending money to have hair cut.
Back to my reason for the blog entry...I had my hairs cut. Hairs...off to another tangent. OK, so if you have more than one hair, it is hairs. But one article of lower body clothing is a pair of pants. Huh? If someone could explain how the plurals of each ended up reversed, I would certainly appreciate it.
Let's try this again...So my removal of 3/4 of my hairs on my head...another tangent. Why is it grown men will wax themselves? Is it just for vanity? Have men become so vain that they feel that they need to cause extreme bodily harm to themselves? Granted, being Native American, there is not a lot of body hair on me. But even if there was, I am not sure I would EVER wax my chest... WHOA...KELLY CLARKSON!
Last time...After the removal of my hair, I often hear from my wife about how much younger I look. From a persons wife, you should hear things like this. I often wonder if she is saying it just to make me feel better for paying all of that money to have someone take clippers to my head, or if she genuinely feels that I look younger.
It wasn't until the COO of my company walked up to me after coming back from a trip and made notice of my shaven head. It was the first part of the day and his comment was in the range of "wow, shortened it up a bit?" I confirmed his findings and nothing else was said about it. It wasn't until the end of the day that what he said actually made an impact..."I need to go get a haircut. You look so much younger with your haircut."
What? OK, I realize that my Queen has been telling me this repeatedly, but it seems to be quite different when it comes from someone of your own sex...and heterosexual. Why? How is it that his simple statement can make that much of a difference? Is it because it was unexpected? Is it because he expects nothing in return for his statement and gave it freely? Maybe.

What is it About Shoes?

I just have to know. What is it about shoes? I own five pairs of shoes and I can tell you where they are located at any given point in time. Each of them has a purpose. I have a black pair of tie-up shoes used for work and only work. In fact, they stay in my locker at work. The second pair of shoes are basically a backup for the first pair. They are slip on Dexter loafers in black and brown. Multifunctional and works with nearly every outfit. Third are my Nike Air Monarchs. I use these for nearly everything casual including my daily trip to work. After arriving at work, I put on the shoes mentioned first. Next are the mowing sneakers. I have made an executive decision in my life today. MomofJenMatt is right about a very sensitive issue and I have been running it through my mind for most of the night. I am strongly against the support of child pornography and to be honest, Xanga could be considered as contributing to the distribution of child pornography.
