Day 1 - Clarifying my Job

Today, my mission is to clarify what my objectives over the next year are here at work. I always try to do the best job I can possibly do, but lately my confidence has been shaken. Since I want to help the company move forward, I need to better define my responsibilities and help promote the business itself. This means that more meetings (which I hate because they often lead to little being accomplished) with key stakeholders so they understand where we are heading and when we will get there...This is another line in the sand.

I also realize that I need to drop the inferred facial features (I tend to read people all the time) and background noise, and concentrate on the target. Therefore, today and tomorrow will be spent locking down the plan. I will review the plan with stakeholders and receive input from them.

But...this is my day job. I cannot let my day job rule my nights and weekends any longer. I realize that I am in a field that demands on me to work 24x7, but for me to keep my sanity, I have to seperate the two.

What is it About Shoes?

I just have to know. What is it about shoes? I own five pairs of shoes and I can tell you where they are located at any given point in time. Each of them has a purpose. I have a black pair of tie-up shoes used for work and only work. In fact, they stay in my locker at work. The second pair of shoes are basically a backup for the first pair. They are slip on Dexter loafers in black and brown. Multifunctional and works with nearly every outfit. Third are my Nike Air Monarchs. I use these for nearly everything casual including my daily trip to work. After arriving at work, I put on the shoes mentioned first. Next are the mowing sneakers. They are plain white New Balance and were the predecessor to the Monarchs. I use them when I am mowing. They are green. Lastly are my bowling shoes. Dexter bowling shoes. Moving on and moving out

I have made an executive decision in my life today. MomofJenMatt is right about a very sensitive issue and I have been running it through my mind for most of the night. I am strongly against the support of child pornography and to be honest, Xanga could be considered as contributing to the distribution of child pornography.
